How to install and use a crypto wallet?

Wallet Installation

First, you need to download the wallet app. You will do this by going to the play store or app store depending on the operating system you are using. You will search for the wallet you want to download (we will use Trust Wallet) and download it. Once you have downloaded the wallet, you need to enter it and carefully follow the following steps.

First, a green “Get started” button will appear to you, it needs to be pressed. After that, if you want to open a new crypto wallet, you will click on the “Create a new wallet” option. You will be presented with the option to store security words in the cloud, or manually save security words. We certainly recommend that you store them manually for greater security. You will be shown the security words, it is important to rewrite them in the correct order and store them in a safe place. Then a list of options will appear, you need to accept all options in order to be able to use the wallet.
The last step is to confirm your security words. Under the offered serial number, you will put the correct security word. With this, you have successfully created your crypto wallet, which is now ready to use, so we will now explain how to receive and send cryptocurrencies from it.

Receiving cryptocurrencies

In this blog, we will explain how to receive Bitcoin, but the process is identical for other cryptocurrencies.

Once you’re in your wallet, you’ll click on the Bitcoin icon. To receive Bitcoin, you will press the “Receive” button. Your address will appear in the form of a QR code that you can scan, but also in written form that you can copy by pressing the “Copy” button. If you are using a Kriptomat device, you will scan the address at the designated location. Once you have entered the address, it will take some time for the Bitcoin to arrive in your wallet.

Sending Cryptocurrencies

Once you have received the Bitcoin in your wallet, we will show you how to send it.

You will re-enter the wallet and click on the Bitcoin icon. In order to send Bitcoin, you need to press the “Send” button. Two fields will appear. In the first field (“Address or Domain Name”) it is necessary to enter the address. You can do this by scanning the QR code, or you can manually copy the address and paste it. In the second field (“Amount”), you will enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to send. If you use Kriptomat, you can send Bitcoin by scanning the QR code located on the Kriptomat screen or on a printed receipt. Once you have filled in both fields, press the “Next” button. A view of the transaction will appear with all the details. Once again, check that the address you are sending to is correct, and after checking everything in detail, you can press the “Confirm” button. By doing so, you have confirmed the sending of your funds, and at the same time you have come to the end of this blog.
